This evening, another Filipina beauty queen will fight for another title, hoping to bring home the 3rd international crown this year, after the back to back victories of Mutya Datul in Miss Supranational and Megan Young in Miss World pageants.
Along with 43 other candidates, 21 year-old TV host, Cindy Miranda will vie for the Miss Tourism Queen International title in Xianning, China.
“I have prepared for this my whole life, and I have been praying to win. I am blessed with tremendous support from my family, friends and the Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. organizers and this fuels me in the competition. I’m not just gunning for the crown. I want to bring home the title to give pride to the country,” said Miranda.
Prior to winning the Bb Pilipinas title this year, Miranda has won several local beauty pageants. She was the Miss Teen Philippines Region I and Miss Philippines Earth Baguio in 2008; Miss Tourism UST in 2009; Miss Tourism Ambassadress Baguio, Miss Camp, Miss Ideal Thomasian Personalities 1st runner-up, and Aura Spa Model in 2010.
After winning the Bb. Pilipinas Tourism title early this year, Cindy went through a rigorous training handled by previous beauty queens, and at the same time took up the renowned Dale Carengie Training focusing on personality development.
“I’m not just gunning for the crown. I want to bring home the title to give pride to the country, especially with all the calamities and problems the country is facing now,” exclaimed Miranda.
Reports said that the former PBB Unlimited housemate and Wil Time Big Time co-host has consistently been chosen to participate in various special events and segments in the pageant, and at the same time given special attention from the pageant organizers.
With few hours left to the coronation night, Bb. Pilipinas Charities have high hopes on the Nueva Ecija beauty to bring home the Miss Tourism Queen International title.
