Philippines’ bet, Cindy Miranda, failed to make it to the top 5, but was victorious in landing in the top fifteen at the coronation night of this year’s Miss Tourism Queen International pageant, Sunday night, in Xianning, China.
Winning the pageant is the 26-year-old from Latvia, Alisa Miskovska.
The Daugavpils native who won this year’s coveted title is a former national figure skater who now coaches figure skating to children. She is studying a master’s degree in sports management, and has previously competed in Miss World 2011 pageant.
Miss Tourism Queen International first runner-up is Roxzelle Rheeder from Miss South Africa, while Miss China is proclaimed second runner-up.
Na Ran Hi of Korea and Ana Bomfim of Portugal were named third and fourth runner-up, respectively.
Completing the Top 15 are representatives of Montenegro’s Nikoleta Jovanovic, Poland’s Ewa Bedzia, Denmark’s Monica Isabella Hartig, Russia’ Liliia Matcegora, Philippines’ Cindy Miranda, Slovak Republic’ Denisa Paseciakova, Thailand’s Sakaowan Singhapreecha, Mexico’s Catalina Mendez, and Brazil’s Isabelle Nunes Sampaio.
In the history of the Miss Tourism Queen International pageant, Philippines has only brought home the crown once in 2006 when Justin Gabionza won the coveted title.
