Chris_BancheroAfter host Myanmar adopted the FIBA Eligibility Rule, Chris Banchero and Chris Newsome are now ineligible to play in the 27th Southeast Asian Games in Myanmar this December.

FIBA Eligibility Rule requires foreign-born players to be holders of passports at the age of 16 years; thus both athletes will no longer suit up for the team.

From the 19 players in the 2013 SEA Games men’s basketball pool of players, now it is down to 17 and only 12 will be picked to play in the most important sporting event in SEA.

The list include Arnold Van Opstal, Bobby Ray Parks, Garbo Lanete, Jake Pascual, Jericho Cruz, Kevin Ferrer, Kevin Louie Alas, Kiefer Raven, Marcus Douthit, Mark Belo, Matt Granuelas, Prince Caperal, Raymund Almazan, Roy Sumang, Ronald Pascual, RR Garcia and Terrence Romeo.

The Men’s Philippine basketball team will be coached by Joseph Uichico.
