12 year-old Xiandi Chua makes it to Philippine Top 25 Swimming Ranking

Xiandi_Chua_SwimmingTwelve year old Xiandi Chua of Xavier School Aqua Stallions swim team made it to the top 25 swimming ranking after registering a time of 5:43.57 in 400m individual medley event and 10:40.24 in 800m freestyle event at the recently concluded 4th Speedo G-League LC Series Leg 3 in Celebrity Sports Center, Quezon City.

Xiandi Chua ranks 17th and 23rd in the women’s 400m individual medley and 800m freestyle events respectively.

Also making a debut in the ranking is 15 year old swimmer Alnair Guevarra, Coleen Limsui, Andy Canlas and Cassie Matabuena.

Guevarra ranks 24th in the 100m butterfly event, 25th in 100m breaststroke and 15th in 400m individual medley; while Limsui ranks 15th in 400m individual medley and 14th in 800m freestyle.

Canlas and Matabuena on the other hand rank 18th in 50m backstroke and 16th in 400m individual medley respectively.

Seventeen year old Rydell Ayroso improved his 100m butterfly ranking from 18th to 14th with a new time of 1:01.22, while Regina Maria Paz Castrillo jumped from 24th to 14th in the 50m freestyle ranking after registering 28.88 in the said event.

National swimmer Hannah Dato is the best placer among all the swimmers. She now proves to be another swimmer to watch in the 100m butterfly event after clocking 1:04.59, enough to place 4th in the ranking, behind Jasmine Alkhaldi (1st), Celina Gonzalez (2nd) and Delia Angela Cordero (3rd).

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2013 RECORD BREAKERS!

Congratulations to DENJYLIE CORDERO for breaking the 50m Breaststroke Record of JACLYN PANGILINAN – 34.10 – set last August 12, 2003. DENJYLIE CORDERO’S Gold medal time of 34.01 at the 76th UAAP Swimming Championship is our new record.

Please be it known that since Denjylie Cordero is not a member of Philippine Swimming Incorporated, this record may not stand. But we will just keep it in a record at the ranking along with Jaclyn’s record!
