Phlippines’ premier lady golfer, Princess Mary Superal is allegedly not sure if she will be playing at the 27th Southeast Asian Games in Myanmar next month.
Rumor says that Superal wants to bring her coach, Bong Lopez, at ICTSI, but the National Golf Association of the Philippines (NGAP) is planning to send a different coach affiliated to the association.
“She won’t play unless she is under her coach,” a reliable source said.
“She said she is successful with her mentor and assigning one she didn’t even know, and capable, is a waste, so she would not even play,” explained the source.
Because NGAP will be sending the association’s coach, the San Diego, California based Superal, who brought home a silver medal at the Asian Youth Games and recently won the Camp John Hay Ladies Philippine Open Golf Tour, is have second thoughts of joining the prestigious regional biennial meet.
Superal also just wont the 6th annual Future Champions Golf Junior Masters in San Diego, her third in FCG Masters and second in 15-18 Division.
She just also qualified at the U.S. Girls Junior at U.S. Women’s Amateur.
Superal’s highest finish in the World Junior tournament is second, in 2010.
