Phlippine tennis singles bets, Katharina Lehnert and Johnny Arcilla, continue their impressive peformance and advance to the semifinal round of the Southeast Asian Tennis Championship 2013 (TOYOTA AEC Championships 2013) today in Pathumthani, Thailand.
Second seed Lenhert easily disposed Vietnam’s Dai Trang Huyng in the quarterfinals in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4. She will face third seed Kamonwon Buayam of Thailand in tomorrow’s semifinal round.
In the men’s singles, Arcilla continue to shock spectators as he again showed great consistency and focus to beat 7th seed Hoang Thien Nguyen of Vietnam in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3. His impressive run will be greatly tested in tomorrow’s semifinal match against top seed Kittipong Wachiramanowong of Thailand.
Other women’s singles bet, Mariana Capadocia failed to advance to the semifinal round after she was beaten in straight sets by 4th seed Dai Trang Huyng of Vietnam.
The women’s pair of Anna Clarice Patrimonio and Editha Balanga failed to capitalize their one set lead, and finally bowed down to the Indonesian third seeded pair of Tami Grende and Herlina Efrilia, in three sets, 4-6, 6-3, 10-8.
Team Philippines on the other hand, won their first team event match against Malaysia, 2-0, and will face team Indonesia in tomorrow’s quarterfinal match.
