BISP High Performance Swim Academy now accepting scholarship applications

BISP_High_Performance_Swim_TeamThe British International School Phuket (BISP) in Thailand, is looking to further its depth of swimming talent and is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2014-2015 academic year.

The swimming scholarship at BISP is currently in its first year of inception, and has already seen 12 Youth Olympic Games qualifying standards met within the first three months of training, and has offered the students International level competition, such as the Asian legs of the World Cup tour, on a frequent basis for those on the program.

Among their current scholars are Philippines’ national age-groupers Roxanne Yu and Jethro Chua.

It is the aim of BISP to further strengthen the swim program by offering another five scholarship placings in the 2014-2015 academic year.

The BISP HPT (High Performance Team) Swim Academy combines academic excellence with high performance swimming by offering a fully comprehensive package of boarding, tuition and swimming, to enable long term development and a pathway for securing College swimming scholarships with worldwide recognition.

The Flying Fish High Performance Coach, Simon Jones, will be dedicated to our elite swimmers, as well as working with other BISP students throughout the school at other times. Athletes at BISP will be offered a balance between their academic studies and swimming at an elite level. Swimmers will be committed to attending up to 10 training sessions a week plus access to an outstanding dry land program.
