The Philippine men’s football moves four places up in the latest FIFA rankings released today, and now ranks 133rd from 137th in the previous ranking.
The latest rankings update include the recent friendlies of the Azkals; the 4-0 loss against UAE and the 1-1 draw against India during the last FIFA international friendly dates.
With the latest update, Philippine retains the number one rank in the Southeast Asia, with Myanmar ranking 2nd at 140th and Thailand 3rd in 142nd.
Iran takes the number 1 spot in Asia, followed by Japan and Korea.
Philippines improved their Asian ranking, now taking the 19th place, ahead of Syria and Turkmenista.
Spain, Germany and Argentina take the top 3 ranking in the world.
The Philippines will return to action next year as they continue to prepare for the AFC Challenge Cup in May 2014.
