Charly_Suarez_SEA_Games_2013The Association of Boxing Alliances in the Philippines (ABAP) has scratched out SEA Games defending champion Charley Suarez from the list of boxers seeing action at the 27th Southeast Asian Games in Myanmar this month.

ABAP has written to POC-PSC SEA Games Task Force to scratch Suarez from the roster because the association’s doctor has not permitted him to compete because of the muscle injury in his left shoulder which has not totally healed.

Suarez is a big loss to the association since he is the defending champion in the lightweight 60kg division.

He was the boxer whom ABAP fought so hard to be included in the London Olympics, whom they believe that will deliver the first olympic gold of the country.

Taking the slot of Suarez in the SEAG 2013 team is 2013 Philippine National Games gold medalist Junel Cantancio.
