A dream come true for actress-host Anne Curtis as she has been officially named as ABS-CBN’s Dyesebel in an upcoming TV remake featuring the iconic mermaid character created by Mars Ravelo.
In the press-conference today, Anne Curtis was emotional as she thanked her supporters amid controversy hounding her last year. She said that every time she’s asked of what her dream role is, Dyesebel has always been her answer, that’s why this upcoming project is really a dream come true for her.
Curtis will be in love triangle with Gerald Anderson who play as Fredo, and Sam Milby who plays as a merman.
Also included in the cast is Gabby Concepcion whose role is yet to be announced, and this new soap will be most likely be directed by Francis Pasion and Don Cuaresma.
ABS-CBN won the rights to Dyesebel and 12 other titles or characters created by Ravelo in a deal described by the late novelist’s son, Rex, as “the best option” for the comics novelist.
