Two Filipino youth golfers will be seeing action at the 2nd Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China this August 16-28 after Philippines ranked 24th in the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR).
Only top 26 countries in the WAGR will have automatic entries (1 boy and 1 girl) in the Nanjing YOG, plus 1 entry from the host country, and 5 universality places, which totals to 32 entries in both boys and girls events, as well as the mixed pair event.
With Philippines ranking 24th in the WAGR, then the country has already secured an automatic slot for the boys, girls and mixed pair events.
Philippines’ bets to the 2nd edition of the Youth Olympic Games though are still have to be picked among the top golfers in the country.
