Hong Kong Mantas Invitational now included in PH Swim Ranking

Full results of the Hong Kong Mantas Invitational meet held last May 10-11, 2014 have been officially added to the 2014 Philippine Swimming Ranking.

Most notable swimmer in the said meet is 12 year-old Marco Austriaco who now officially announces his arrival in Philippine Swimming scene as he takes the top spot of the 50m Freestyle, 100m Freestyle and 50m Butterfly events in the Boys 13 and Under national raking with his times of 27.87, 1:00.45 and 29.32 respectively.

Apart from his three top rankings, Marco now ranks 2nd in 100m Butterfly event with his time of 1:06.93, and has improved his rankings in the 200m freestyle (from 6th to 5th) and 200m Individual Medley (from 7th to 5th) events.

The Alabang Gators protegee brought home a gold medal in the 100m Free, and bronze medals in the 50m Free, 50m Fly, 100m Fly and 200m IM events in the Hong Kong meet.

Fifteen year-old Shaye Chantal Uy of Corinthian Seals Swimming Club also made her presence felt in the national overall ranking as she now debuts on 3rd spot in the Women’s 50m freestyle ranking with her time of 28.43 seconds, 8th spot in the 100m Free (1:04.04), 8th spot in the 50m Breast (38.06), and 15th in the 50m Fly (32.07).

Galazy Starship’s Enya Zibell on the other hand has improved her 50m Fly ranking, from 8th to 5th, with her time of 30.69.

She now also ranks 15th (from 18th) in the 200m Individual Medley, 19th (from 25th in the 200m Freestyle, and 21st in the 100m Fly ranking.

Other swimmers who made a debut in the Women’s 50m Freestyle ranking are Gabriella Ellis, Samantha Coronel and Ma. Gabriela Torres.
