Raissa Gavino continues record breaking streak in Dubai Meet

Raissa Regatta “Raine” Gavino, who just clinched her first Philippine Senior National Swimming Record last Friday, continued her record breaking streak at the Hamilton Aquatics Dubai Long Course in Dubai, UAE last Saturday.

Not happy with her 1:17.29 clocking in the morning preliminary of the 100m Breaststroke event, Gavino pumped her way to clock another junior national record in the evening finals with 1:14.63, erasing Denjylie Cordero’s 7-year-old Girls 14-15 record of 1:15.26

This is Gavino’s 5th junior national swimming record under her belt.

She currently holds the Girls 13 & Under junior national record of the 50m Breast (33.85), 100m Breast (1:18.73) and 200m Individual Medley (2:33.36), as well as the Girls 14-15 record of 50m Breast (33.98); not to mention her first Philippine Swimming Senior National Record also in 50m Breaststroke (33.98)

The fourteen year-old swimmer of British International School of Phuket was definitely on fire on her year-end meet; and we could only hope that she gets recognized for her feats and be included in Philippines’ line-up in next year’s SEA Games in Singapore.
